Welcome to Jacob Glass Ministries, North Star Projects and the Institute for Inner-Peace. Whether you are attending live lectures, reading the weblog or receiving CD recordings of the lectures, you are a very important part of this ministry and I thank you.

I have been lecturing on new thought principles and A Course in Miracles since 1987 and still consider myself as much a student as a teacher. My intention is to assist you in hearing your own inner-guidance, the Voice for God within you so that you can find your own answers. As I lead these groups in prayer, visualization, stories, readings and such, I am channeling that Christ Light so that you can then channel your own Higher Wisdom.

In 2000 I wrote my first book “Invocations: Calling Forth the Light That Heals,” a book of prayers and essays which is available at Amazon.com - you'll find it among the recommended booklist to the right of this column.

I have been joined on stage at my live lectures by best-selling authors Marianne Williamson and Debbie Ford as well as a live performance by Grammy winner Kenny Loggins. I have lectured at the Miracle Distribution Center's annual conferences and completed the 4 year Practitioner training in one of the major new thought churches in Los Angeles in 1988.

Who I am . . .

I am an author and non-denominational minister dedicated to the practical application of the principles of love, inquiry, affirmative prayer and seeking God’s guidance as taught in A Course in Miracles and the teachings of Ernest Holmes. Our goal is the attainment and keeping of the state of inner-peace.

My lectures tend to be fun, funny, irreverent and yet oddly soothing and uplifting. The demographic is quite wide and over the past 18 years my talks have been listened to and attended by celebrities such as Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, Fannie Flagg, Stephanie Zimbalist and Olivia Newton-John - as well as catholic nuns, buddhist monks, rabbis, punks, porn stars, cross-dressers, ex-cons, lots of people in 12-Step recovery programs, those with life-challenging illnesses such as cancer or HIV, politicians, successful movie producers, senior citizens, the physically challenged and from time to time a dog wanders into the hall.

The people who may not have a good time are those who are somewhat conservative or what I call the "pearl clutchers" who are offended by raw truths. I consider what I do to be "adult education" of a spiritual nature - I address adult themes using adult language. This is not your Grandma's Sunday church service. It's for real people with real lives in the post-modern world. In other words, if you are easily offended, you'll hate it - a lot. We are not a touchy-feely new age crowd either - no group songs, affirmations, holding hands or lines to hug the speaker. We are about radical transformation of thought through daily spiritual practice. It's more like a spiritual boot-camp. Imagine if George Carlin were a spiritual teacher instead of an comedic athiest - it's more like that.

What I believe . . .

That all are equal under God and that no person should be denied their birthright, which is complete unconditional love and happiness. I believe in the miracles of God’s love here on Earth. I believe in the teachings of Jesus as set forth in A Course In Miracles and also in the teachings of Buddha, Lao Tzu, Joel Goldsmith, Ernest Holmes, Byron Katie and many other master teachers.

I believe in and practice the Law of Attraction and believe that service is a huge part of any serious spiritual practice. I believe in tithing and each year contribute thousands of dollars to what I believe are worthy organizations doing God's work here on Earth. I started the first HIV and AIDS spiritual support groups in Santa Barbara in the early 90's and MC'd many of the first fund-raisers there which started the HIV hospice care.

I believe that "constructive criticism" is a lie used to justify attacking another person with a personal opinion and that is why my suggestion box is a paper shredder. I don't care what others think or feel, I care about Who they are in Truth because that is the only thing that lasts - thoughts and feelings are simply temporary projections of mind that are quite often egoic bs which needs to be cleared away. My job is to help you detach from the false self rather than glorify it. I love my students enough to let them be mad at me and a $15 donation at the door does not make me your bitch ;)

About You . . .

You have a reason for being here on Earth. It is your destiny to manifest your part of the Master Plan in your own way. Each one is unique and yet we are all one in God. You are not alone, nor need you be without the loving support of other people. We are all the many colored threads in the Master Tapestry. Black, white, old, young, gay or straight; you are valuable and I welcome you here to our cyber-satsang of sorts.

My Guiding Principle:

I am here only to be truly helpful.
I am here to represent the Christ Who sent me.
I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do,
because He Who sent me will direct me.
I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.
I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.
